Overall Presentation
MAHB has clear ambitions on the European scene in future years and developing young players is an integral part of the strategy to achieve these ambitious aims.
Created in 1995 in partnership with the CREPS of Montpellier, the MAHB Academy has set itself major goals to achieve, namely that of bringing through young players from the Academy to represent one third of the professional playing squad.
An Academy composed of 2 parts :
- The MAHB training centre welcoming players aged 18 and over (school leavers).
- The Languedoc Roussillon (Montpellier branch) Youth Section welcomes players aged 16 and over (high school).
# The Training Centre
This structure welcomes players aged 18 and over (school leavers) : there are currently 12 young players in this structure. In order to help you apply to the training centre, please complete the following :

# The Languedoc Roussillon (Montpellier Branch) Youth Section
This structure welcomes players aged 16 and over (high school) : there are currently 7 young players in this structure. In order to help you apply to the youth section, please complete the following :

# Supervision
Ten people are involved in the day-to-day running of the Montpellier Handball training centre, enabling young players to receive individual training in all fields :

# Former Trainees
The International players trained at the Montpellier Handball Academy:
Michaël Guigou, Franck Junillon, Geoffroy Krantz, amien Kabengélé, Nikola Karabatic, Damien Scaccianoce, Luka KARABATIC, Samuel HONRUBIA, William ACCAMBRAY.
The 1st Division players trained at the Montpellier Handball Academy:
Jean-Alexandre Davignon, Christophe Kabengélé, Guillaume Laout, Nicolas Ivakno, Andy Sekiou, Yacine Bouakaz, Guillaume Saurina, Sylvain Rognon, Adrien DIPANDA, Rémi SALOU.
After 15 years, the MAHB Academy has helped 47 trainees during their apprenticeship in the profession of handball player.
31 of them signed a professional contract at the end of their traineeship (14 of them signed their first contract with the Montpellier club and 17 with another club).
